About gamma probe in brief

The gamma probe enables the rapid and efficient examination of sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer patients, in line with 21st century standards. This modern device also allows surgical procedures to be carried out more easily and to a higher quality standard. Before the probe is used, a small amount of radioactive particles is injected into or near the tumor, which then get into the lymphatic ducts and through them into the sentinel lymph node. The device is then used to precisely identify which of the many lymph nodes is the one from which the radioactive signal is coming. By removing it, the stage of the disease can be determined more accurately even during the operation, avoiding unnecessary surgical extensions and reducing the chance of post-operative complications.

This modern device will raise the quality of oncology patient care. The Gamma probe will not only make work more efficient and easier, but also increases patient satisfaction. It is most commonly used by doctors to localize technetium-99m and iodine-125 in tissues. The gamma probe will provide doctors with a new marking and surgical technique to safely remove early, nonpalpable breast tumors.

The different types of heads are ideal for inter-tissue studies.

With a scanning module and a wide range of gamma probes, Europrobe 3.2 is a unique system that meets all your needs for post-operative detection and intra-dermal localization in 7 main clinical areas: breast, gynecology, otorhinolaryngology, dermatology, endocrinology, urology and nuclear medicine.

The detector’s features, shape, size (2 kg) and sensitivity can be adapted to any appropriate isotope to meet clinical requirements. All probes are easy to isolate and lightweight.

All of our probes are made of biocompatible medical stainless steel and the sterile biocompatible casing has been specially developed for the complete range.

In addition, Europrobe probes comply with IP68, ISO10993-5, ISO10993-10, ISO10993-11 biocompatibility standards.
